Cheerful Pinkish Tea container
I always save Harney & Sons Tins. As you can see they make pretty Flower containers. The Tea Quality is wonderful and the tins are so attractive. Double Value!
Extra small Burlap sacks
I bought these cute little Burlap sacks at a shop called Bungalow, located at the Agoura Hills, Antique mall. I knew that I could use them in a few projects, Here, I just slipped an empty jar in the sack and tied a Ribbon around the top of the jar,and hung a tiny metal # on the ribbon and that was that!
Bright Red Roses In Olive Oil Bottle
I Love the bright green and red graphics on this olive oil bottle!
Hot Chocolate Container
I placed a small jar with water inside this bright container, and placed the flowers inside , So Bright and cheerful! I also implemented the bright blue wicker caddy Shown here ,For a bold impact of Summer color !!

Paintable Wall Paper Border
I used this border on a few projects, as I mentioned on a previous post. The shelf shown above is another way that I have implemented the use of this border.
Before Photo of shelf
I bought this shelf for $5.00 at a yard sale. I use to pass on this style of shelf, because of the Heart cut outs, As you can see on this photo. However, I thought there must be a way to cover those hearts, And Five dollars for solid wood.( not that cheap pressed material) is a great value. furthermore, considering the size! what a bargain! Although many of you may have tried this,I have posted some quick steps and photos for those of you who are interested.
Front View
After, I applied some masking tape to the back of the small heart cut out at the top middle of this shelf. I filled the cut out on the shelf with wood putty and allowed it to dry thoroughly. (as shown on before photo above) Next,I sanded the putty smooth. And set a Rose applique, on that area. once, the applique dried in place, I measured the inner and outer sides of the shelf and cut paper border to cover heart cut outs.
Side view
After sanding and painting over that bright Red paint. I applied the Paper border shown above,To the inner and outer side, to cover the cutesy, Heart cut outs. And Painted the entire shelf and paper white.

New Black Plant Stand
Wow! I am amazed with the visual impact of this Home Depot plant stand. And the total cost was under $75.00 including the plants! Now, I am working on Fabric for cushions to use on the patio furniture shown here.
Chaise Longue
My husband and I moved all our white patio furniture over to the other side of our garden and changed our red & white ticking /floral fabrics. Now With the addition of the bistro chairs and other black iron patio furniture,We are able to easily incorporate some nice bold summer colors.
Pique Assiette
My husband made this Beautiful Pique Assiette for our home, A few years ago. And I truly treasure it. However, We decided to hang it in our patio for a bit, The colors are so vibrant and the mirror reflects the bright colors of the geraniums and the candelabra! I am very happy with the whole look!

Family Room Mantle
The Photos of my Family room shown below, were actually taken in the months of April, May and June. However , as the month of August approaches I try to incorporate even more Pale Tones , before the end of Summer. I also enjoy implementing just a few small decorative changes in my patio and kitchen, via Colorful Table linens, Decorative Pillows and other cheerful accents That boldly reflect the remainder of summer! I hope to post a few photos of these changes , Very soon.

Just Beautiful
I would like to share a few photos of 2 events that I hosted for my Grand daughters a few years ago, that have some party favor ideas that you might enjoy.
The Tea party that we hosted and Made the above Party favor cones for
I have posted some Quick step by step, photos below
Paintable Wall Paper Border
When I find this type of border on sale, I buy as much as I can afford.I have used it for a number of projects and I just Love it! below are a few Photos to give you and idea of how to make one of the projects I used this paper border for. I apologize for the lack of clarity However, I made these a few years ago and these are the only steps I had photos of.
After you cut the paper to form a cone
Use your hot glue to adhere the cone shape in place,Trim with scissors to form the cone shape
These are a few of the Trims
I used Various trims to embellish the cones,However these are the only trims that I have a photo of before I attached them to the cone.
Here is what the inside of the Princess cone looks like inside
I used Hot glue to attach the ribbon handle to each side of cone's interior. I also used hot glue to attach all the trims shown here, I placed a Gold "Home made" sticker that I purchased at Michael's inside And I also stuffed a little shredded tissue inside the cone before I added the Goodies.
